Understanding the Construction Phase of Your Dream Home
From the initial site walk to the finishing touches, the construction phase is where your vision starts taking shape. With AR Homes® Asheville, you’re guided through each step, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
Initial Site Walk and Pre-construction Meeting
Before the first shovel hits the ground, your construction manager will conduct a site walk. This meeting is your opportunity to discuss the specifics of your custom home and address any questions or concerns you might have.
Lot Preparation and Foundation Work
We begin by preparing your lot, which involves clearing, grading, and laying the foundation. This includes installing concrete slabs and ensuring proper site backfill and grading to set the stage for your home.
Framework and System Installations
As the home begins to take shape, we'll erect the framework, install windows, and set up essential systems like plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. A walkthrough with your construction manager will allow you to review the system placements, ensuring they meet your expectations.
Exterior Development
With the structure in place, exterior walls will be completed using materials like stone, siding, or stucco as per your plan. The roof installation and exterior painting will follow, bringing the outside of your home closer to its final form.
Interior Finishing
Inside your home, we'll start with insulation and drywall, followed by the installation and painting of interior doors and trim. Next, we'll focus on flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and other essential finishes, including plumbing fixtures, lighting, and appliances.
Landscaping and Hardscaping
Once the home is nearing completion, we'll perform final grading and begin installing driveways, walkways, irrigation systems, landscaping, and any hardscape features, finishing with sod installation.
Homeowner Orientation
Before you officially move in, your construction manager will guide you through a homeowner orientation. This walkthrough will familiarize you with your new home's systems, ensuring you’re comfortable with how everything operates.
Final Touches and Closing
At closing, AR Homes® upholds its Gold Standard, aiming to have no more than five minor items needing attention. These will be resolved within 15 days post-closing, ensuring your home is as perfect as possible.
Comprehensive Warranty and Follow-Up
Your new home comes with a 10-year warranty, provided by AR Homes® Greenville (American Eagle Builders, Inc.), giving you peace of mind. At the 11-month mark, a warranty manager will conduct a walkthrough to address any concerns.
Customer Feedback
To ensure we continually improve, a customer satisfaction survey will be sent to you 60-90 days after closing. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us enhance the AR Homes® experience.
