What Happens Before Construction Begins

If you’ve never built a custom home with us before, you may wonder what the process looks like from start to finish. Below is a breakdown of the steps that we will take to select your plan, understand your quote, and get permitting finalized to begin the construction process.

  1. Select your floor plan and receive quote.
  2. Obtain a boundary survey and confirm your lot’s fit.
  3. Customize your floor plan with a Design Agreement.
  4. Review the Architectural Review Board (ARB) requirements.
  5. Finalize your quote.
  6. Sign your building agreement.
  7. Secure your financing.
  8. Review plan.
  9. Present final plans to ARB. They will review and approve plans, colors, and selections to ensure it conforms the community’s standards.
  10. Modify plans if needed following ARB review.
  11. Attend Color Session to select your interior design finishes at the Design Studio.
  12. Meet with vendors as needed.
  13. Select lighting features.
  14. Receive final ARB plan approval.
  15. Sign off on final plans.
  16. Begin engineering process.
  17. Conduct a site meeting with the Construction Manager.
  18. Submit for permitting.
