The Caudle Custom Altamont

The Caudle family had always dreamed of building a custom home, and they finally found the perfect floor plan in the Altamont from AR Homes®. They loved the layout of the home, but they knew they wanted to make some changes to make it their own.

One of the first things they did was to add an additional bay to the garage to make sure they had enough space for three cars. They also decided to remove the upper level of the home and bring the 4th bedroom to the main floor to make it more compact and easier to maintain. Another big change they made was to flip the plan vertically.

On the main floor they changed the den int he front of the house into a formal dining area and converted the casual dining into a sitting space. Right off of this area they used extra porch space to create the guest room opposite side of the house from the owner’s suite.

On the lower level they reduced the size by over 600 square feet removing the club, game room and wet bar. They left only 2 bedrooms and bathrooms on the lower level to make the home more functional and easier to maintain.

The Caudle family is very happy with their custom home, which is perfect for their needs and lifestyle. They love the spacious layout, functional design, and custom touches that make it their own.
