THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE
The construction phase of building your dream home with AR Homes® includes site walks to final touches. We’re here to guide you through every step with precision and care.
Site Walk and Pre-Construction Meeting with Construction Manager
Before construction starts, your construction manager will lead a site walk to discuss your custom home project and address any questions or concerns you have.
Lot Clearing and Foundation
We'll start by clearing and grading your lot, then proceed to install the foundation and concrete slabs before backfilling and grading the site.
Framework, Systems Installation, and Walkthrough
During the shell construction phase, we'll erect the home's framework, set windows in place, and install plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. You'll then have a framing walkthrough with your construction manager to discuss the placement of these systems and ensure everything aligns with your preferences and needs.
Exterior Work
Exterior walls will be completed according to the plan, using stone, siding, or stucco. Following this, the roof will be installed, and the exterior will be painted.
Interior Work
Insulation and drywall installation will come first, followed by fitting and painting interior doors and trim. Then, we'll proceed to install flooring, cabinets, countertops, and other finishes, along with plumbing, lighting fixtures, and appliances.
Landscape and Hardscape
After final grading, we'll install driveways, walks, irrigation systems, landscaping, hardscape features, and sod.
Homeowner Orientation
Before you move in, your construction manager will conduct a homeowner orientation walkthrough to acquaint you with your new home's systems and equipment.
Gold Standard Closing
Our Gold Standard home will have five or fewer minor items needing additional work at closing, and we aim to address them within 15 days.
Warranty
After the Gold Standard closing, you'll have a walkthrough with our warranty manager at 11 months to address any warranty issues.
