Recently, many members of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) came together for the 2023 Legislative Conference and met with their region’s congressional delegation in Washington DC to talk about issues important to housing, development and affordability for our community. According to Matthew who services as Vice President of the GHBA and voting member of NAHB, “It was a successful trip that helped highlight many of our current economic issues on behalf of so many Americans feeling the affects of inflation and government overreach. We had great meetings with many Congressman (and women) including Morgan Luttrell, Troy Nehls, Dan Crenshaw, Lizzie Fletcher, Al Green, Wesley Hunt, Sylvia Garcia, and Shelia Jackson Lee. While the work never feels done, it was an honor to be selected to meet and discuss these important topics and be the voice for so many at our Nation’s Capitol.”
