AR Homes® Tampa (Lyons Heritage Tampa, LLC) Builds Home for Wounded Veteran in Partnership with Gary Sinise Foundation

For the second time, AR Homes® Tampa (Lyons Heritage Tampa, LLC.) has partnered with the Gary Sinise Foundation to provide a mortgage-free home to a local wounded veteran.

Romulo “Romy” Camargo was selected by the Gary Sinise Foundation to be the recipient of a mortgage-free home through its R.I.S.E. program. R.I.S.E. stands for restoring independence and supporting empowerment. This is completed by building mortgage free specially adapted smart custom homes for severely wounded veterans across the country. This incredible program meets the needs of the selected veteran through either new home construction, home remodels, or renovations. The organization works with vendor partners and builders to provide these deserving American heroes with homes that accommodate their wants and needs.

AR Homes® Tampa (Lyons Heritage Tampa, LLC.) serendipitously learned of the Gary Sinise Foundation after a member of its team read the book “Grateful American” by Gary Sinise. The associate recommended that they reach out to learn more about how their building company could give back to the veteran community. Initially thinking they could donate labor or materials for a local build, they were pleased to learn that they could be the builder for veterans in their area.

Once selected as the builder for their second R.I.S.E. project, the AR Homes® Tampa (Lyons Heritage Tampa, LLC.) team was thrilled to begin ushering Romy and his family through the custom build process. The homeowners were heavily involved– from choosing the floor plan that best fits their needs to visiting the design studio to selecting the interior design features that aligned with their personal design style.

After months of anticipation, the home was completed. Romy’s new home is now conducive to his mobility and accessibility needs. The entire AR Homes® Tampa (Lyons Heritage Tampa, LLC.) team is honored to have been given the opportunity to build his custom adapted smart home and partner with the Gary Sinise Foundation once again.

“The Lyons Heritage Tampa Family is proudly honored and blessed for the opportunity to serve one of our nation’s many military families,” said Building Company Vice President, Edward Garton.  “Our partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation has allowed for us to use our skills and resources to provide a custom specially adapted smart home for the Camargo family that will comfort and support them for a lifetime. This experience has brought new perspectives of the true cost of freedom and a new family into our hearts. We will forever be grateful for the sacrifices the Camargo family have made for our country and their continued efforts as local heroes here in Tampa Bay. We are honored to have Romy and Gaby as new additions to our AR Homes® Family – welcome home!”
